I can't believe someone makes... Kitchen scales with iPod dock

Kitchen scales featuring iPod docks.jpgI really can't believe someone makes Rihanna kitchen scales featuring an iPod dock. Cheryl Cole scales, maybe. Rihanna, no. Even if they do feature an iPod dock...

I never do find much time to listen to music when I am weighing vegetables in my kitchen. Maybe it's just me.

(For cooking, of course. I don't weigh vegetables in my kitchen as an end in itself. Like a hobby, during which it would be nice to listen to music... Enough of this nonsense!)

If you want to buy these babies, they will set you back $105.

Engadget writes:
If you haven't yet invested in an iPod dock for the kitchen, the kids at ADE (a German company that manufactures cooking equipment for commercial and home use) have something right up your alley. The Rihanna kitchen scale features an iPod dock, an LCD display, and a 2 watt speaker that sits demurely beneath glass weighing area. This bad boy will handle up to 11 pounds (graduated in .04 ounce steps).
Oh. Actually, Rihanna doesn't refer to the recording artist. That's a coincidence, it says... But an 'iPod dock for the kitchen'? Really? I'm getting old.

Waldo:

You can download recipe videos etc. for the iPod. After that it all makes sense.

Ah, I see. Interesting point, Waldo.

Not sure weighing plays a major role in the process, tho. What you really need is an iPad with a knife resistant surface, so you can chop and prepare the ingredients along to the video ;-)

Please tell me this is a joke...scales with an ipod dock...I refuse to believe it. What next,an iron with a built in iphone? Now you would have to be really careful with that!
