Poll: Is the Motorola deal good for Android long term?

The recent acquisition of Motorola Mobility by Google throws up a lot of questions, but what is your initial reaction?

Points in favour of the deal include side-stepping any possible patent disputes with Motorola.

Points against the deal include the possible negative impact on other handset makers, such as Samsung and HTC who now find Motorola a privileged competitor.

Could Apple be the ultimate beneficiary of this deal? Have your say:
