How to build your own LCD thermometer

Return to Taking the Temperature

Today we've got a handy gadget that electrical engineers can try at home: the LCD thermometer.

A new and improved version of a previous model, the LCD thermometer comes from Wichit Sirichote's indispensable Build Your Own Microcontroller Projects site. Sirichote is becoming something of a veteran in these pages. His work has appeared in Gadget Freak previously, with his earlier contribution being the electronic distance meter, not to mention the night light saver.

For those applications that require information to be displayed on a screen, the LCD thermometer is ideal and easy to tweak for various measuring devices.
