Gadget Freak on the BBC

This month’s Gadget Freak – Richard had a flash of inspiration – has been featured on the BBC, in a 5 Live radio show called Science with Dr Karl.

Electronics prodigy Richard Hodgkinson, who is currently in a very hectic exam period for his A-levels, designed a lightning distance timer so he would no longer have to manually work out the approach or retreat of a thunderstorm.

Dr Karl read the short write-up verbatim that appears both in the Electronics Weekly magazine and the Gadget Freak blog.

He said it was wonderful that young men and women were taking an interest in the electronics industry.

Listen to Gadget Freak’s appearance on Science with Dr Karl.
