Competition - Win an LED Jellyfish Mood Lamp

Jellyfish led.jpg
Time to kick off August with another Gadget Freak competition. The prizes in the past have been a wind-up radio and an iPod shuffle. This time it's an LED Jellyfish Mood Lamp!

We wrote about these rather eye catching installations last month - obviously, it's just a bit of fun - and thought it would make a good prize.

The ambient lighting device is described as having a "whisper-quiet" operation and features an auto-off safety function that kicks in after four hours of use. You simply fill the moulded black tank with water, chuck in the jellyfish, fit the top and plug in. If you want single-colour jelly fish, rather than a changing sequence of colour, you flick a switch...

Correctly answer the question below for a chance of winning.

The competition closes Friday 29 August 2008. You can view the Terms and Conditions.

Which one of the following designs explicitly requires a magnetic switch and a MOSFET?

a) Thermal management for a frosty office atmosphere

b) Hans' Nixie clock takes a step back in time

c) Project Dragon Fish - Underwater Rocket Science

d) Solar radiation and a delta-sigma ADC

e) Keep your property where you can see it

Once you know the correct response, just email competition@electronicsweekly.com with your contact details, specifying a, b, c, d or e.

Good luck!
