Girls play games more than boys

Today we discovered this interesting article from the TrustedReviews site.

It claims that women own more games consoles than men.

From a poll of 1,000 people questioned by TrustedReviews, 44 per cent of women confessed to owning either a Playstation, Nintendo or Xbox console, while 39 per cent of men owned up to the same.

The site puts down the numbers of female owners down to the recent surge in production of non-traditional games, namely Dance Dance Revolution, Guitar Hero and Wario Ware: Smooth Moves.

Of course, there still remains to be seen a poll carried out asking exactly how many games each owner has bought. That will truly prove which sex can claim to be the biggest "games master".
