Flip Video competition

Flip video.jpgWith the Jan / Feb compo now closed, it's time for a new Gadget Master competition, the second of 2009 and again kindly sponsored by Digi-Key. And you've gotta like this gadget, it has certainly caught my eye...

Up for grabs is the cool and compact video camera that plugs straight into a USB port, for quick and easy filming. You literally just have to point the camera, push the red button and you are away. To be precise, it is the Flip F260B-UK Video Ultra Series Digital Camcorder.

Note that prizes for past competitions have been a Cool Stuff Exploded book, a wind-up radio, an iPod shuffle, and an LED Jellyfish Mood Lamp.

Flip Video

This particular Flip video device would set you back £75 on Amazon, and the spec of the device includes:

Recording time: Up to 60 minutes
Internal memory: 2 GB
Screen size: 1.5 inches (diagonal)
Screen resolution: 528 x 132 pixels
Screen type: Transflective TFT (for bright daylight)
Resolution: 640 x 480
Sensor: 1/4-inch VGA CMOS sensor; large (5.6 µm) pixels for maximum light sensitivity
Low-light sensitivity: Very high sensitivity (>2.0V/lux-sec)
Frame rate: 30 frames per second (constant)
Video bitrate: 4.5Mbps (average--auto adaptive algorithm)
Video format: Advanced Profile MPEG4 AVI

All in all a lovely gadget; light to carry and easy to use.

The prize question

Anyway, we'll keep the format familiar and straightforward: correctly answer this question for a chance of winning.

Our recent I've got a bike post featured six blog posts related to bikes. Which one contained a picture of a driveway?

Once you know the correct response, just email competition@electronicsweekly.com giving the title of the post.

The competition closes Friday 13th March (lucky, again*, for someone). You can view the Terms and Conditions.

Good luck!
