Video: Robot cyclist pulls its weight

Fancy sharing a tandem with a robot? Would be good for going up hills.

Maybe this was the thinking behind Joule the Robot, which caught my eye on Engadget today.
"A PMG-132 electric motor is connected to Joules (that's the robot, just so you know), and thanks to an array of nuts, bolts, joints and the promise of a better life in Carl's garage, Joules has graciously agreed to help power the bike for as long as his owner decides to exercise," writes the website.
Talking of robots, maybe the inventor Carl could put this clever hand robot to use, to take care of signalling.

As long as they can peddle fast enough to escape the Crawling Giant Beetle Robot.
