Lightsaber - Any colour you like

We've featured Lightsabers before, but no apologies for highlighting this video - a demo of the embedded setup for an excellent Luxeon LED-based Lightsaber.

The creator, NBitWonder, promises complete RGB control to turn the 'blade' any colour you want...

He writes:
"A key element of the RGB lightsaber is the pulse width modulation (PWM) code that is used to switch the luxeon transistors. The application uses 3 transistors and thus 3 PWM outputs are needed. Unfortunately, the PIC18F2221 and virtually all other 8-bit PIC microcontrollers contain 2 or fewer PWM outputs. To get around this, software PWM, based off a scheme found in a Basic Stamp app note (section 21- "Fun with Trains"), is used."
More information on the saber can be found on NBitWonder.com.
