Dare you rise to the Robotics challenge?

Arduino Duemilanove.jpg
Interested in Robotics? Like to rise to a challenge? Well, all Gadget Masters take note of the Roboteers programme at Embedded Live. Best-in-class prizes are up for grabs for robots that can pass the tests.

The programme includes two technical workshops - one on embedded Linux and one on embedded programming for robotics - to give people the basic development skills.

There is also a live event, for any attendee, to come and have a go with their own robotics kits.

Toyota robot.jpgThe organisers have devised a series of challenges to pass for the roboteers, using varying levels of kit, and prizes will be awarded for outstanding achievements and the best in class robots.

There are three levels of robotics: Basic Letry Arduino-based robots, Intermediate, and Advanced.

Full details of the challenges, for each level, will follow shortly. For example, there is a "Dancing Robot" challenge within the Intermediate level, and a "Sprint to the edge" challenge within the Intermediate level.

The workshops will run on Tuesday 19 October, and the live event is on Wednesday, 20 October. (Please note these are paid classes, including class notes and live demonstrations.)

To register please visit the Embedded Live website registrations page.
