While Cortex-Mx coding examples are usually in ARM assembler, most Cortex designers will be programming in C.
Niall Cooling from Feabhas, the real-time embedded training specialist, will be at Embedded Live 19-21 October at Earls Court, London, giving a different perspective on how the ARM Cortex-M series processor architecture will affect their embedded C code.
The class will look at the Cortex processor from an embedded software engineers perspective and sees where ARM have implemented specific features (e.g. unaligned data transfers, bit-banding) that aid the programmer.
ARM has also developed a software support standard (CMSIS) for ease of porting and wider 3rd party software support (e.g. RTOS).
Embedded Live 2010 is now taking delegate registrations for the UK exhibition which takes place at Earls Court, London 20-21 October 2010.
Confirmed exhibitors include: NXP Semiconductor, RS, ARM, Tektronix, Nokia - Qt Software, XJTAG, Pebble Bay Consulting and Pico Technology.
To register please visit the Embedded Live website registrations page.
