Fable: The Good Old Days

In days of yore when men were men and silicon was silicon, there was a start-up company where the founders received a 500x return on their investment within two years.

One of those co-founders used the pay-out to co-found another semiconductor company and parlayed the investment into a $15 billion fortune.

MORAL: To the brave go the spoils.



  1. Fairchild, george, the founders kicked in $500 each in 1957 and were bought out for $250,000 each in 1959 and one of them, Gordon Moore, co-founded Intel and amassed $15 billion.
