RMI's Au1250 Processor is the first MIPS-compatible SoC processor supported for Android aimed at media and communications applications.
Introduced at the IFA event in Berlin, Samsung's LED TV Couple allows users to watch two separate video channels on a digital TV and a remote portable device simultaneously.
Operating up to 700MHz, the Au1250 processor includes an LCD controller with four graphics planes for 32-bit RGB, and a Media Acceleration Engine (MAE) for D1 video decoding of a range of formats including MPEG1/2/4, WMV, Divx, Xvid, and H.264.
