In an interview published in The Daily Telegraph this week, Gabriel tantalises us Genesis fans on the subject of a possible reunion by saying "don't rule it out".
For Gabriel, who has wider interests than prog-rock these days, has lately looked in to music downloads on the Internet and in particular the availability of new types of high quality audio files.
He is collaborating with hi-fi loudspeaker specialist Bowers and Wilkins on a new download service offering higher quality uncompressed audio files.
"We are in an interesting time, going from an old paradigm to a new one," Bowers and Wilkins research head Dr Gary Geaves told Electronics Weekly. "Digital MP3 is part of it, digital networks is another."
