Mouser Electronics has added a DaVinci processor-based digital video development board to its linecard.

The prototyping board is a development from eInfochips, an India-based Asic and embedded system development company.

Distribution is increasingly about selling system level products rather than simply fulfilling component needs, although this remains the major part of the business.

As Mike Scott, Mouser v-p points out, the system-level product strategy is to offer development tools which support semiconductor lines.

Mouser is expanding its offering of 3rd party systems and it will stock the DVPB-HD Digital Video Processing Board, which is a rapid prototyping board based on Texas Instruments DM6467 DaVinci processor.
