Fortune 500 has printed its top 20 most profitable technology companies and a distributor is in there.
Microsoft and IBM may be one and two, but distributor Avnet comes in at number 18.
This is the highest ranking for any distributor.
And we must overlook the fact that Avnet was referred to as "a manufacturer of electronic components, storage devices, and embedded systems".
Other rankings in the top 20 were Intel at 6, Emerson Electric at 11 and Texas Instruments at 12.
