Anglia has signed up the important analogue chip line of Intersil for the UK and Ireland.

The Intersil franchise gives the Wisbech-based distributor a significant portfolio of analogue ICs which it sells into industrial, instrumentation and medical applications.

"Customers can source the complete analogue signal chain from Anglia," comments Steve Rawlins, chief executive officer of Anglia.

Intersil, which already uses EBV and Arrow in Europe, wants to add to its dedicated technical support in the UK.

According to European distribution sales director Peter Schubert: "Anglia convinced us fully of their ability to deliver this expertise. Their solution based engineering department is of particular interest to us."
