Camden Electronics has acquired Boss Enclosures, the Suffolk-based manufacturer and distributor of plastic and metal enclosures, 19in racks and cabinets.

"In what are uniquely difficult times for the technology sector, we believe this acquisition makes perfect sense as it will enable Boss Enclosures to access Camden's well-established worldwide distribution network," said Camden's owner, Nicola Kay.

It is a year since Camden, the supplier of PCB terminal blocks and DIN rail enclosures, launched an operating company in China to provide a local presence for customers manufacturing in the Far East.

St. Albans-based Camden is a supplier of PCB terminal blocks and it also manufactures a range of over products including DIN rail

The enclosure firm will trade under the Camden-Boss name.

According to Kay, the intention is that Camden-Boss will supply standard and custom designed enclosures from potting boxes to the latest Acoustirack 19in cabinets for noiseless server operations.
