Intel takes bigger Imagination stake-holding

Intel has ruled out any imminent acquisition of UK-based graphics chip firm Imagination Technologies.
This comes despite Intel's stake-building in the King's Langley-based developer of the PowerVR graphics accelerator IP core which is being used by Intel and others n PCs and mobile handsets.

This week Intel increased its stake-holding in Imagination to just under 14%, but it said this was no precusor to any immediate move for the company.

Intel is not the only high profile shareholder in Imagination, Apple bought a 3.6% shareholding last year as part of a technology deal with the IP firm.
