Hastings-based manufacturer sees growth in "all sectors"

Wilson Process Systems (WPS) is bucking the downturn and has expanded its manufacturing capabilities and added a second production facility.

The Hastings-based contract manufacturer says it has more than doubled its turnover to £10m in the last eight years.

"There is still room to expand, which is useful since we are experiencing growth in all sectors, particularly LED assembly, but also with industrial, defence and medical customers as well as general box build," said sales director, Nick Jones.

SM Line.jpgTwo years ago, the company bought a second factory, adding a further 8000 square feet of manufacturing space. This housed the company's automated surface mount lines and now the site is fully operational WPS has increased its capacity to over 150,000 component placements per hour.

It also has the ability to place fine-pitch devices.

Established in 1981, Wilson Process Systems (WPS) employs over 100 staff and specialises in PCB assembly.
