Kemet has restructured its UK sales organisation and appointed a new sales manager for UK and Ireland, Neal Goddard.

There is a slight change to the capacitor manufacturer's distribution network following Avnet's acquisition of the Abacus group.

Kemet's still comprehensive list of UK distributors is Arrow, Avnet Abacus, TTI, RS Components, Farnell, Charcroft, Easby and Campbell Collins.

It will also continue to use US-based catalogue distributors Digi-Key and Mouser.

While Richardson Electronics will carry specialist power film and electrolytic products.

According to Graeme Dorkings, director of distribution sales for EMEA at Kemet: "The appointment of someone with Neal Goddard's experience and track record will help us to successfully implement the new structure."

Goddard, who will head the new sales operations for the UK, Ireland and South Africa with a team based in Weymouth, joins the capacitor company from Sanyo Semiconductor where he was European sales manager for distribution and key accounts.
