Acal Technology has been recognised by defence and aerospace systems company Cobham as its leading defence communications supplier of the year.
A big element of the award was the distributor's support for its Actel FPGA lines.
According to Cobham, the distributor achieved a 100% quality and delivery score within the last 12 months during which it shipped around 100,000 units.
"We have been able to partner Cobham through every stage of the production process with specialist technical support, as well as commercial, logistics and manufacturing services," said Brian Hatcher, European product manager for FPGAs at Acal.
The distributor provided pricing support programmes as well as a supported stock programme using Cobham's line-side system.
It also developed custom packaging and labelling and pre-programmed Actel FPGAs, in-house, prior to shipment, in addition to supporting Cobham on a number of multi-platform projects.
Cobham's senior buyer, Caroline Mather, commented; "This award reflects the quality of the technical support, service and in-house manufacturing that Acal."
