APRO, the Taiwan-based supplier of industrial-grade NAND flash storage devices, has teamed with ProSaleTech and Phoenix Systems Engineering & Technologies (PST) to expand its presence in the European market.
ProSaleTech will offer an-European sales within the solid state device (SSD) market, while PST offers logistics and technical support capabilities.
"Building a strong presence and quality image in Europe is an important part of our ongoing business development strategy," said Tanja Hsu, CEO of APRO.
"We realise that, in order to be successful, we must understand and cater for the idiosyncrasies of the European market. Teaming with ProSaleTech and PST will allow us to short-circuit the initial learning process by leveraging their pan-European market knowledge and channel connections," said Hsu.
Unlike the consumer flash storage market, industrial applications have specific requirements.
"Standard products will not necessarily suffice," said Erez Lev, managing director of ProSaleTech.
"Success in Europe depends on several factors. A knowledgeable local presence that enables manufacturers' to work closely in partnership with their European customers in order to understand and solve their storage design issues is essential," said Lev.
Co-founded in 2004 by Erez Lev, who spent 15 years at M-Systems and SanDisk, ProSaleTech has experience of the solid state storage market.
In March, APRO will be exhibiting at Embedded World 2010 in Nürnberg, Germany (Hall 9, Stand 326).
