RS Components has added FCI's automotive connectors to its catalogue in what is a new departure for the distributor.

This will include FCI's OE-quality connectors, wire-to-wire connectors, flex interconnects, squib interconnects, high-reliability enclosures, pin headers and press-fit pins.

"This is an exciting time in automotive markets globally, and I anticipate rapid and sustained sales growth," said Valerie Ramon, category business manager for electromechanical and connectors at RS.

The automotive supply chain changing and becoming a target market for distributors.

According to Ronald Velda, sales director EMEA distribution for FCI: "A strong distribution channel is the key to maximising our support."

To support the automotive lines, the distributor will also offer specific product configurations for application areas such as engine compartment, power-train, body and chassis, cockpit and multimedia.
