Alpha Micro Components has signed a distribution agreement with energy harvesting firm EnOcean to sell its wireless sensor modules in the UK and Ireland.

Digi-Key has added to its product offering from the TT electronics group of companies by stocking the products of BI Technologies, IRC, and Welwyn.

The distributor already carried the Optek line within the TT group.

"We are now able to provide some of the best in fixed and variable resistors, magnetics and microcircuit modules in addition to optoelectronics," said Jeff Shafer, Digi-Key v-p for interconnect, passive, and electromechanical products.

Premier Farnell has signed a global distribution agreement with Accelerated Designs, which will see the catalogue and online distributor selling the firm's Ultra Librarian design software tool.

Mouser Electronics has launched a website which can be accessed on smartphones.

Called MouserMobile it supports product search by product number or keyword.

"The advanced MouserMobile site for use on today's smartphones creates a whole new industry standard," said Mark Burr-Lonnon, Mouser v-p of EMEA and APAC business.

The website is available on most mobile platforms and in 16 languages and 16 currencies.
   
Like the main website it lists nearly seven million products from more than 400 suppliers.

Avnet Abacus has recruited six European application engineers with a specialistaion in power design.

Its power FAE team now totals 16 across Europe.

TT electronics and NAC have expanded distribution agreement so that a full line of TT electronics components will be available through NAC.

"NAC has a proven track record of supporting the design needs of specific market segments that closely align with our strategic marketing objectives," said Rob Everist, senior director of sales.

The design servcies company and distributor targets markets such as defense, medical, alternative energy and power systems.

Premier Farnell has signed a global franchise deal with Terasic Technologies, a supplier of  FPGA development platforms.

It seems that Farnell's element14 online community was a factor in the deal.

Caltest Instruments has been appointed as UK distributor for Kepco's ranges of power supplies and instruments.

Kepco's power supplies comply with all international safety EMI and EMC directives and most are CE marked.

Guildford-based Caltest will also provide product demonstrations and training on the full range of Kepco products.
