High reliability electronics manufacturer C-MAC MicroTechnology recently held a ceremony at its Great Yarmouth offices to recognise the performance of two of its suppliers.

Hi-Rel Lids of Harleston, Norfolk and Kyocera Fineceramics of Fleet, Hampshire were the suppliers in the limelight.

Both suppliers achieved 100% on-time delivery and quality in the year to September 2011.

Hi-Rel supplies high-quality milled, stamped or formed metal lids for C-MAC's hybrid packages, while Kyocera supplies HTCC (high-temperature co-fired ceramic) packages which are used as an alternative to metal-bodied packages.

According to Sharon Bracey, supply chain development manager at C-MAC: "Mutual success is down to the very close partnerships with our strategic supply chain members."

Stuart Norris, managing director, Hi-Rel Lids believes the supplier's long association with C-MAC helped it in understanding the manufacturer's "technological and commercial needs as a forward thinking manufacturer of hybrid circuits."
