New start-ups

I am currently in the process of updating Electronics Weekly’s map of UK start-up firms in the UK and so far I have compiled a list of firms that we have written about since the map was last produced.

There are a magnificent 57 new companies to add to the map and that is in the space of about 18 months. Of course not all of those firms started up in that period but most in fact got to a point in their development that they had a product or some funding to talk about.

For me it confirms once more that this is a vibrant, innovative and creative country in the semiconductor and electronics sectors.

Of course a full list of these firms will be added to the map in due course but here is a taster of what is to come:

Silicon Basis
Thermastrate
Polymertronics
Mirics Semiconductor
XanIC
Air Semiconductor
Ecertec
FlexSI
Mirifice
Silistix
