Milan conference includes Amy Wang and Malcolm Penn
Executives and specialists from the electronics components market will meet in Milan on May 31 at the International Distribution of Electronics Association (IDEA) executive conference.
The main talking point will how can the supply chain maximise business opportuntities as governments around the world desperately seek to move the western economies from austerity to growth.
The conference starts with a review of the global economy and particularly the European economy presented by Paolo Guida, Head of Retail and SME Research at BancaIntesa Sanpaolo.
This will be followed by a distribution industry view presented by Georg Steinberger, Vice President Communications Avnet EMG.
Otmar Deubzer, Project Manager – Fraunhofer Institute provides an insight into the Sustainhub, a pan-European project for Product Recycling and Sustainability, while Roman Kamaletdinov reporting on the Russian Electronic Components Market.
The first keynote presentation is from Arthur Visser, Managing Director Europe – Bishop Associates who reviews the global interconnect market and the “Road Ahead”.
Malcolm Penn, Chairman and CEO – Future Horizons provides the second keynote presentation reviewing “What’s Happening in the Global Semiconductor Industry” with his personal analysis of the key players and their relationships in the supply network.
A view of “Industrial Collaboration” is presented by Glenn Palmer, Managing Director Europe – Murata with particular emphasis of the role of industrial distribution.
Robert Martin, Director Value Added Services – Arrow discusses the development and implementation of a global supply network strategy highlighting customer facing strategies.
The third keynote presentation is by Amy Wang, Vice President – China Outlook Consulting who reviews the Chinese electronic components market, where collaboration between Western and local organisations are a pre-requisite for success.
Rounding the conference up is Rajoo Goel, Secretary General – ELCINA with a presentation on “Demand Driven Opportunities in the Indian Electronic Components Market”.
