London Droidcon returns in October
Leading Android expert and long-time Android developer Mark Murphy (CommonsWare) is confirmed as a keynote speaker. Other speakers include Cyril Mottier (Prixing) on the Fly-in app, Matt Gaunt (Google) on developing for Google TV, Corey Latislaw (Chariot Solutions) on Fragments, and Simon Cross (Facebook) on Open Graph.
To celebrate the achievement and explosion of Android in its 5 years of existence, Droidcon London will focus on the future of Android and its role as an innovation platform. Droidcon London will showcase new hardware, applications, and most importantly, bring together the people and developers behind it.
Droidcon London is first and foremost a community event, where the scene is set for fruitful exchanges. Droidcon London is famous for its unconventional and innovative format that mixes dynamic social activities on day 1 with conference sessions on day 2. On the first ‘barcamp’-style day, delegates are invited to present short talks based on their professional interests. Everyone’s participation is encouraged to cultivate the day’s atmosphere of camaraderie in debate. Alongside the day’s dynamic content is a selection of activities, displays, and talks. The second day takes a more traditional approach with keynote presentations and 4 tracks of talks devoted to the best in current Android development, design and business.
The location is once again the Business Design Centre in Islington.
