Elektra Awards 2010 now open for entries

mpu.gifTime to consider the prestigious Elektra awards, and how to get one of them in your company’s trophy cabinet…

We now are inviting companies to enter the 2010 Elektra European Electronics Industry Awards.

Established as an annual high point of the electronics industry, the Elektra Awards give the industry the opportunity to recognise the achievements of individuals and companies from across Europe. The Awards ceremony is on December 9th in London.

The entry process is designed to be as speedy as possible. Just take a few minutes to enter via the Electronics Weekly Awards website.

Closing date for entries is 2nd July.

Distributor of the Year
Distribution companies have the chance to outline how they have overcome the challenges of the past 12 months and how they are looking to make the most of growth in the market this year.   

Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) Company of the Year
We are inviting EMS providers to tell us about their achievements during the past 12 months.

Fabless Semiconductor Supplier of the Year
Whether it is commercial success for new product introductions or specific product intellectual property developments, we are inviting fabless suppliers to present their achievements during the past 12 months.

Start-up of the Year
We invite entries from start-up companies building a world-class business in any one of a range of business activities from product design and manufacture through to online services.

Environmental Award

We are looking for companies which have strategies to reduce the impact on the environment of their products, manufacturing processes and commercial practices.

Student Engineer of the Year
Electronics Weekly is inviting universities and colleges to enter their most outstanding students in electronics and software. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students will be eligible to enter for this award.

R&D Award
R&D in this category can relate to research and development in a component, hardware system, software or process technology.

Embedded System Product of the Year
We are inviting companies to enter their most innovative product launches of the past 12 months.  

Design Tools and Development Software Award
This category will look for the most innovative software product of the past 12 months. It ranges from chip and PCB design tools to embedded development tools for microcontrollers.

Test Product of the Year

This product category is dedicated to finding the most innovative piece if test equipment of the past 12 months. The category is open to hardware and applications software.

Passive & Electromechanical Product of Year
Whether it is resistors, capacitors, switches or connectors, we invite companies to enter their most innovative passive or electromechanical component introduction.          

Power System Product of the Year
We invite companies to enter power module and power supply innovations from the past 12 months.

Renewable Energy Design Award

Product Innovation of the Year – Readers’ Choice

Semiconductor Product of the Year – Analogue
