Only Connect: On Huber Suhner and how to amaze customers

I have always had a soft spot for Huber Suhner connectors because they are so well made and have an extensive range.
It is fair to say Huber Suhner operate in the top end of the RF Connector market. Some of their products, however, are working at the very limits of microwave technology so you do get a lot of engineering brains behind the connectors.
The point of this blog is about beyond the technical stuff – what are they doing that is different that really helps their customers? The answer is somewhat predictable, but Customer Service is the answer and this is how they help people, specifically me!
When we are designing new cables or asked by our customer to help with choosing connectors we have many options, but RF can be tricky as performance is critical, which has to be balanced against cost. That said, we know that if we specify Huber Suhner we won’t have performance issues.
There are a couple of things that Huber Suhner does that really support their customers. Firstly they have a very high level of product technical knowledge and easy to understand literature.
Secondly, their product finder is something very special. So many companies have product catalogues and downloadable brochures, however, I have never seen such a visually attractive on-line product selector as the one on their website, check this out:
It is the simple things that make all the difference. However, what adds too your brand integrity more than making technical product information look visually stunning? This is a class lesson in brand differentiation – keep it simple and keep it pretty. People like pictures!
So the next time you need RF connectors take a look at Huber Suhner and decide to go with a touch of class!
