Described by the organisers as the biggest exhibition of its kind and the meeting-place of the international embedded community, Embedded World 2008 runs Tuesday 26 Feb - Thursday 28 Feb, at the Exhibition Centre in Nuremberg. The event covers automotive, military, telecomms, industrial and consumer electronic sectors, with last year's show attracting 600 exhibitors with embedded hardware, software, tools and services.

Two embedded operating system vendors, Lynuxworks and Green Hills Software, have launched hypervisor software to allow different operating systems to run on a single system securely.
