Samsung goes 4G with Galaxy Express

samsung-galaxy-express.jpgHitting a 4G LTE note for its Galaxy range, Samsung has released the Galaxy Express, which it describes as a “feature-rich multimedia device offering 4G LTE for social explorers”.

The 4G enables faster multimedia streaming and downloads, the company confidently claim (overconfidently, I would presume), and it has a 4.5in Super AMOLED Plus screen.

Running on Android 4.1 – aka Jelly Bean I – the press release emphasises its smooth operating Butter-based interface. It also supports AllShare Play for sharing content with Samsung Smart TVs, and S Beam for transferring video and music to other devices.

There’s also Mobile High Definition Link (MHL) support, for connecting directly to HD displays, and NFC for short range  wireless information sharing.

UK availability will apparently be “H1″ of this year…

I like to note the specs of these high-end offerings, for posterity… (from the Samsung press release).
