Huawei updates its Android Ascend range
Just to tidy up coverage of the Berlin IFA event – which ends on Wednesday – here are details of new models from Huawei, specifically Android-based Ascend phones.
The former entry-level phone features, a 4in display (resolution 800 x 480) with a 1GHz dual-core processor and a 5-megapixels camera.
Of the more expensive Ascend G600 (pictured), Mobot.com writes:
The processor is also dual-core, but runs at a faster 1.2GHz, and while there’s only 4GB of on-board storage to play with, you can always add more via microSD card.
NFC capabilities are thrown in too, as is DTS sound, and you should be able to take a few half-decent snaps with the 8MP camera. The battery is a 2,000mAh unit.
It also has a slightly larger (“quarter HD”) 4.5in display.
Both phones run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, “with the latest incarnation of Huawei’s Emotion UI”.
