DevBoard Watch: RFduino, the tiny Arduino-compatible Cortex-M0 board
Here’s one for Gadget Masters to note, from Embedded World 2014 in Nuremberg. It’s an ultra-miniature computer board from supplier RFdigital, writes Richard Wilson.
Called RFduino, the tiny Arduino-compatible Cortex-M0 based board is notable for its Bluetooth v4.0 (Low Energy) interface and 256kbyte on-board flash memory.
A 2.4GHz transceiver is based on the nRF51822 Bluetooth system-chip from Nordic Semiconductor.
For the Arduino operating system and radio stack, a model of Arduino can be flashed or software from Nordic Semiconductor can be used, said Rutronik.
