Garage door voice control, via Android, Raspberry Pi
Thanks to reader Christopher for flagging this one – a perfect Gadget Master combination of Android and Raspberry Pi. He uses this to voice control the opening and closing of his garage door.
“Open garage door!”
After firing up his app on an Android smartphone, Bluetooth enables comms to the strategically placed Raspberry Pi inside the garage, which is wired into the opening mechanism… Proximity switch enables the system to tell if the door is already open or closed, and opto-isolators protect the Raspberry Pi from all the external circuitry…
