Picture of the Day: CES – Garmin VivoFit
Fighting for space on your wrist with the likes of the Nike FuelBand is Garmin’s new vivofit.
The new wearable technology from Garmin tracks your activity level, lets you assign goals and mark milestones, and generally “moves you toward a healthier lifestyle”.
According to Garmin, it:
- Learns your activity level and assigns a personalised daily goal
- Displays steps, calories, distance and monitors sleep
- Pairs with heart rate monitor for fitness activities
When you’re ready to take the next steps toward better health, vivofit has additional features to keep you motivated. Use a heart rate monitor with vivofit to record your heart rate data and get more accurate calorie burn information for any fitness activity, such as a run or a session at the gym. Also at Garmin Connect, you can join online challenges with other vivofit users or start your own competition with friends to compete for virtual badges and bragging rights.
It is water resistant and a one-year battery life is claimed.
The price? It’s yours for £99.[Via techradar.com]
