Cree boosts mid-range lighting LED choice
Cree has added two ranges to its mid-range ML lighting LED family, writes Steve Bush.
Called ML-C and ML-E, they add red, green and blue colour options, ‘high’-voltage operation, and three different price-performance options to the 3.5×3.45mm ML footprint.
Expect up to 37 cool white (5,000K) lumens, and up to 31 warm white (3,000K) lumens from ML-C, both at 100mA.
At 50mA, the series versions of ML-C and ML-E white LEDs have typical voltages of 6.4 and 9.6V respectively.
Applications are expected in architectural, hospitality, emergency vehicle, decorative lighting, and linear florescent LED replacements.
ML whites are also available in minimum 80, 85 and 90 CRI options.Tags: colour options, performance options, price performance, replacements, steve bush
