Sainsbury’s auto-generated coupon fails to tempt

This one made my wife laugh at the weekend – an auto-generated supermarket coupon (after quite a large shop) that rather fails to tempt you back to the store.

Can anyone improve on this? Any takers for ‘a penny disount’? Or are we becoming too decadent in failing to appreciate a tuppence off?

   Yes – I had a £0.01 last week, and this week got one saying ‘Today’s shop was the same price as everyone else’

   Like it, Graham – meaningless and ungrammatical. Maybe they will just evolve into Fortune Cookie-style pronouncements… ‘A wise man knows when to stop’, etc. Equally useful.
