Fable: The Seer
There was once a man who spotted that a technology change was on the way and was smart enough to know that technology change equals business opportunity.
He made a phone to work on the new technology and persuaded his country’s prime minister to be the first person to use his company’s phone to access the technology.
The company projected sales of 400,000 for the phone in its first year. It sold 20 million.
Seven years later, the company had 30% of the worldwide cellphone market, was doubling revenues every year and had a market cap of $200 billion.
Moral: Chance is a fine thing.
