Fable: The Fickleness Of Fate

There was once a great man who founded one of America’s greatest companies.

But he never went up in an aeroplane.

When planes were a novelty he took his family to a country fair where a pilot was offering flights for $5.

He queued to buy a ticket and was the next in the queue to buy one when his kids asked for ice cream.

While queuing to buy the ice cream the plane took off, crashed, and killed three people.

Oh dear, sorry, Mr C, I assume from that remark that you recognised the story. Apologies for pre-empting you but Stooriefit sort of said it was too obscure so I thought I better spill the beans.
