NXP has an Cortex-M3-based processor to handle the accelerometer, gyroscope and compass data.
ST do the gyroscope, Asashi Kasei do the electro magnetic compass and Bosch do the accelerometer.
Samsung’s 28nm process is used to make the apps processor – A7. The A6 was 32nm. Chipworks measures the ‘contacted gate pitch’ on A7 at 114nm and on the A6 at 123nm.
Hynix provides the memory.
There’s an Apple iSight camera with a Sony stacked CMOS image sensor.
Broadcom provides the WiFi.
