    Expect Infineon to surge up the list next quarter. If I remember right, Q1 2011 was the last quarter they included their wireless division before it was sold to Intel. Given that was 1/3 of their business, a -5% growth is a remarkable achievement.

    It’s no surprise to see Freescale right at the bottom. From what I hear, the layoffs within Freescale were incompetently executed and have now led to the predictable delays in new product introduction. The Freescale board apparently thought that engineers are fungible and any software engineer can be reassigned to analog design and vice versa. One can blame Blackstone to some extent but NXP’s management do appear to be investing for the future and performing far better in comparison.
