The Bezel-Less Smartphone
Sharp has got a step nearer to the bezel-free phone.
Sharp’s Aquos Crystal is not there yet – the bottom end has a fairly normal-sized bezel – but round the other three sides the bezel is barely discernible.
Sharp built it for SoftBank and it will be available in Japan and the USA..
As with minimal-bezel TVs this is a very attractive look and it’s surprising Apple and Samsung are so slow to get there.
A large-screen, super-slim, bezel-less smartphone is the future.
Whoever gets there first will take the smartphone crown – until the next big thing comes along.
