The Wise Wife
Techies can often make terrible judgments about other tech firms.
Fairchild and Intel co-founder Bob Noyce was once asked by his wife if she should invest in a Cupertino computer company. Noyce told her it had ‘no future’.
The company was Apple.
Noyce himself invested in Osborne Computer which, of course, went bust and Noyce lost his money.
Wisely, Mrs Noyce ignored her husband’s advice and bought into Apple.Tags: bob noyce, bust, computer company, cupertino, Intel
