Lime Microsystems and Azio Electronics have designed the mezzanine board called Zipper as a multi-carrier board with HSMC, FMC, general purpose pin header and USB connections.
It will interface with both Altera and Xilinx development platforms – and enables direct connection with a PC for control and calibration.
The Zipper board’s design files can be downloaded in KiCad format free of charge and under liberal open source licensing terms.
Pre-built versions of the interface board will soon be available via distribution partners, Azio, Digi-Key, Eastel, Richardson and Vitec, priced at $199.
Lime has also released a new version of the control utility for use with the Zipper board, which is supported on both Windows and Linux. The utility allows for the setup and calibration of the LMS6002D transceiver, along with configuration of the board.
