At the Broadband Wireless World Forum in San Francisco today, Ericsson, Nokia, PhilipsSemiconductor, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Sony, Wi-LAN Inc. and CalTrans launched the OFDMForum
The Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) Forum was created to promoteglobal conformity of OFDM standards and spectrum allocation as well as establish a singlecompatible global OFDM standard for delivering low cost devices on all wireless networksand in related industries, the companies said.
