Chip firm sets up design centre in UK
Peregrine Semiconductor has opened a design, development and sales facility in Reading as expansion of its European operations.
Peregrine is recruiting for its European team as part of the expansion plan.
“Some of the world’s most visionary designs originate in the European region, and this expansion of our global design footprint, support, and manufacturing capabilities further demonstrates our commitment to the European RF engineering community,” said Dave Shepard, v-p at Peregrine Semiconductor.
The UK facility develops RF chips for European commercial, industrial, and high-reliability markets.
These include digital step attenuators, phase-locked loop frequency synthesisers, and RF switches.
The company has also appointed Mark Moffat as managing director of Peregrine Semiconductor in Europe.
