Business skills are key in supply chain, says ECSN
Aston Business School has teamed with the Electronic Components Supply Network (ECSN) to launch a Certificate in Management programme for the industry body’s executive membership.
The programme is targeted at executives from the electronic components supply business to introduce them to new and proven business thinking, tools and techniques, frameworks and models for different management approaches.
According to ECSN chairman Adam Fletcher, the electronic components industry requires clearly developed skills and expertise in the technical disciplines but success is not wholly achieved through technical excellence.
“An organisation’s success also relies on the management expertise to bring a product to market and lead a commercially successful business, which involves proficiency in the key management disciplines,” said Fletcher.
“Accordingly we saw the need for a comprehensive program for members: to create, develop and promote the executive management skills necessary to develop the successful industry leaders of the future,” said Fletcher.
The course comprises five modules; Strategic Management, Marketing Management, People Management, Operations Management and Financial Management, each of two day duration. Participants who complete the certificate program, and go on to successfully submit a work based project of 5,000 – 8,000 words will be eligible for the award of a Certificate in Management from Aston University.
ECSN has arranged for an Aston Business School panel to present a Webinar to outline the Certificate in Management programme and answer any questions from interested parties on Thursday 12th July at 10:00.
If you would like to participate in this webinar, please register your interest with Jill Waite at the ECSN secretariat firstname.lastname@example.org who will pleased to provide full details of how to join the Webinar.
