Cree doubles output of CXA LED lighting arrays

Cree has extended its series of ‘High-Density’ die-on-tile LED lighting arrays, up to 15,600 lm.

“CXA2590, CXA1850 and CXA1310 LED Arrays double the light output of existing standard-density CXA LED arrays without increasing the size,” said the firm. “This increase in lumen density enables the complete replacement of ceramic metal halide light [CMH] sources, expands the possibilities of LED spotlights and enables applications that could not be addressed by previous LED technologies.”

According to Cree, CXA2590 emits over 15,500 lm from a 19mm light source, enabling “luminaires with the same center beam candlepower and light quality of a 150W CMH light source at lower power, longer lifetime and with better control”.

CXA1850 gets 9,000 lm from 12mm, mimicking 70W CMH, while CXA1310 LED provides 2,000 lm from 6mm diameter.

The CXA1310, for example is available in:
4-step and 2-step ‘EasyWhite’ bins at 2,700, 3,000, 3,500, 4,000, 5,000, 5,700 and 6,500K.
4,000, 5,000, 5,700 and 6,500K ANSI white bins.
CRI options are 70, 80 and 93 minimum.
